Ok… so its probably been about a year since I posted anything here. Facebook has pretty much killed blogging, well for me. I always mean to, but I am busy creating journal pages, teaching art, doing art, posting and catching up on the dreaded FB. So… Here is a quick catch up.
In December, I made handmade Christmas cards as usual, as did my students (my adult “Art as Therapy” group) I also did an online journalling series of classes in November and that was fun. January saw me journalling every day as a challenge – I have included a couple of these pages below.
From February onwards I have been creating mosaics for my garden, doodling and drawing. Making miniature watercolour paintings for cards and dabbling in some steampunk stuff. The bottom image is a tryptych I created for an exhibition in 2010 that was all about Lake Boga (Victoria, Australia) drying up. They have been on loan for a few years and it was nice to have them returned and then placed in the Woorinen South community hall.
Now here we are at the start of May already! I currently am helping the local art group with a Mothers Day Exhibition and Devonshire Tea, to raise funds for cancer research. Soon there will be a fundraiser for the Woorinen South Fire Brigade, then we have another Exhibition happening at Cohuna in July! So … busy times ahead!
