As a member (also Secretary/Treasurer) of our local art group “Mallee Artists of Swan Hill Inc.” I participate and help organise a number of events. Last weekend our group spent a day at Tyntynder Homestead surrounded by beautiful gardens; painting and drawing outdoors, very therapeutic! The event was a local fundraiser for the homestead committee to continue working on restoration.
Next weekend for Mothers Day our group is holding a two day Exhibition and Devonshire Tea at the Grain Shed, a local church venue. This is a fundraiser for cancer research. Our group also meets to create and chat every Wednesday at a local hall, so I keep pretty busy.
